About the Author
Star Writers is a creative and educational workbook for young aspiring writers and offers the
not-so-new writer many valuable writing insights developed by the well-known author of the
"Zaahir and Jamel the Camel" children's book series, Amatullah Al-Marwani. On April 29,
2005 Amatullah died several weeks after undergoing a bone marrow transplant for the leukemia
she endured for three years. Amatullah was a gifted writer and an exceptional Muslimah. She
loved Allah, her family and she loved Muslim children, young and old. This book is her legacy
to writers and readers everywhere. May Allah reward her for the knowledge she has left for us.
