Award Winning Author and Publisher Linda D. Delgado

Linda Delgado, known by many as Widad, is a Muslim revert, the mother of three and grandmother of eight. She is a graduate of the University of Phoenix and retired as a Sergeant in 2000 from the Arizona Department of Public Safety. Widad is the owner-publisher of Muslim Writers Publishing: a traditional Muslim publishing house.

The Association of Muslim Women in America, Inc. (AMWA) selected Widad to receive the 2005 Excellence in Media, Literary Arts award based on her work as author of the children's book series, "Islamic Rose Books".

Widad’s charities included Islamic children’s book libraries and the non-profit Muslim food distribution organization, The Cultural Cup, located in Phoenix, Arizona.
